ASYMMETRICAL

The site’s project insertion has an intimate relationship with nature, characterized by an exuberant presence of vegetation. The residence, therefore, serves as an architectural device to enhance the user experience, emphasizing a sense of place and its role within the surrounding context. The design embraces a contemporary approach through the use of simple, prismatic volumes, formed by the composition of additions and subtractions that respond to desired functions and atmospheres. In terms of materiality, concrete defines the house's structure, acting as a bold feature that brings personality to the project. The concrete integrates external elements, creating visual fluidity through cantilevered beams. To introduce warmth, a composition of natural and ebonized cedar wood is used as cladding. The upper floor is finished in a matte white paint to introduce lightness and balance to the composition. Finally, the glazing allows natural light to flood all facades, framing the landscape and promoting integration between the built environment and the surrounding gardens. The internal spaces are organized over two floors. On the ground floor, the entrance features landscaping that incorporates a tree embraced by concrete beams. From the hall, there is access to a toilet, an office, a double-height living room, and a dining room that directly connects to the outdoor social area and swimming pool. To the left is the service sector, which includes the kitchen, storage, and laundry, with direct access to the garage. The first floor contains three suites and an intimate living room with a void that overlooks the ground floor. The bedrooms are arranged along the north facade to optimize sunlight and provide garden views, with sliding white metal panels allowing for control of light and privacy.
